SENIOR PORTRAIT SESSION by Brenda Kerns

TOO HOT TO SHOOT?  NOT IF YOU ASK 2017 SENIOR ABBY SOUDER

What is too hot for a photo shoot?  Apparently it has to be hotter than 91 degrees!  That was the temperature reading in my car as I parked and prepared for my senior portrait session with WKHS Senior, Abby Souder.  A busy athlete / student, it was not easy to find time that worked for both of our calendars.  Between work, field hockey practice and summer vacations, it was a tight squeeze to get this shoot done.  In fact, immediately after our photo session, she was visiting a college campus in Indiana for another look before making her college choice.  While other seniors may have wanted to reschedule our photo session due to the heat and humidity, Abby was all smiles and ready to go, even though it involved changing clothes in her car.

It is not often that both mom and dad accompany me on a senior shoot, but I was glad to have the extra hands and Abby had the extra encouragement to keep working with the camera!  Nearly 2 hours and 2 clothing changes later, Abby’s cheeks were stinging from the smile “work out” .   It will take me another week to review all the images we captured during our walk around downtown Worthington.   There are so many wonderful colors and textures to use as a backdrop in this quaint part of Worthington.  Thank you, Abby and parents Tom and Diane, for asking me to photograph this important milestone in all your lives!
