Senior Portrait Session – Grange Insurance Audubon Center
SENIOR PORTRAIT SESSION with Olentangy Liberty High School Senior, Emma Campbell
It is not always easy to coordinate a high senior photo session if the high school senior is a fall sport athlete. Even before school has started, the fall sports teams are practicing daily (sometimes twice!) as the students ease into their daily routine. I was excited to meet Emma – a high school soccer goalie and a young lady interested in music. One thing I love to do in a senior portrait session, is incorporate props or locations that highlight who this high school senior is, what makes her / him unique. So I was thrilled that Emma brought not just one stringed instrument along for a prop, but two: a ukulele and a guitar, and she would soon be strumming and singing both of them during our shoot. Our plan was to also incorporate her soccer jersey and soccer ball into this senior portrait session, but we were in a race against the typically, atypical Ohio weather and it looked like rain was blowing in.
One of the reasons I was so excited to meet this high school senior was that she agreed to have her senior portrait session at a location that was new to me: The Audubon Center in Columbus. I had scouted the area several times and had suggested it to a few clients, but Emma was the first to take me up on it. It may soon be making my list of favorite photo shoot locations for a senior portrait session! The rain did cut our session shorter than I like, but we caught a few unique images of Emma laughing in the rain.
Thank you Emma and mom, AJ, for your adventurous spirits and choosing Caught My eye Photography for your senior portrait session!
