Senior Portraits Class of 2018
It’s happening. Whether you like it or not, moms and dads, you have a child who will be graduating from high school in less than a year! Since my youngest is a 2017 high school graduate, I totally understand what you are going through. There is a list of tasks for you and your senior to complete that keeps growing. ACT / SAT study sessions and test dates, college applications and visits, recommendation letters to gather, school schedules to finalize, parking permits, athletic passes, sports schedules to manage, senior portraits, the very last homecoming dance. . . there are numerous “lasts” that you will encounter this year. And a few firsts, too.
One of the most important “firsts” in my opinion is selecting and scheduling time with your senior portraits photographer. If you don’t already know a photographer, you will most likely be overwhelmed by your options. Because EVERYONE is a photographer nowadays, right? I went through a search for a senior portrait photographer years ago when I was only photographing sports. I was looking for a photographer who could photograph my oldest son; my son who was quiet and polite, awkward if you asked him to smile and stiff if you tried to pose him. I chose a photographer who had beautiful pictures on her website and another friend had used her previously. I attended his session (of course!) and watched the session unfold. Sure, my son did what he was asked to do; he smiled on command, he shifted his weight appropriately and averted his gaze. What he didn’t do was have fun. The images are perfect from that session, professionally lit and exposed. But they don’t reflect who HE is. That is what is missing from those images.
Senior Portraits at Caught My Eye Photography
So what does a senior portrait session look like at Caught My Eye Photography of Columbus? We customize our senior portrait sessions to YOUR graduate. A shoot planner questionnaire is sent to your son / daughter’s inbox so that I have a chance to get to know more about your senior. We choose a location and package that suits your needs and your student’s personality. Now prepare for a fun, casual, interactive, portrait session that doesn’t end until we find and capture the unique qualities of your soon-to-be graduate.
Whether we choose one of the Columbus MetroParks, the Short North or Arena District, or your own backyard, my goal is to memorialize this important milestone in your lives. You will enjoy the image reveal session that takes place a few weeks later when you will see highlights of our portrait session, select your yearbook photo, and any prints, wall art, or a customized senior album.
Take a moment to look through the images on my website and download the free Senior ShootPlanner. Email or call to schedule your session and check off one of the FIRSTS on your senior’s to-do list.
